  “You’re a jerk. You know I can’t allow myself to make any mistakes,” I say, unable to contain my smile.

  “No, you can’t.” He gets up from his desk and comes towards me. “But you’re not in charge around here. And as your boss, I am demanding that you make an occasional error.”

  My shoulders melt in his close proximity. He caresses my cheek with his fingers sending me into further relaxation mode.

  “But seriously, how do you feel about you and I heading to Maui for the weekend?”

  “Do I have a choice? After all, I’m not the one in charge around here. Remember?”

  “So I’ll take that as a yes,” he says, suppressing his widening smile from me. I shake my head as if I’m disgusted by his arrogance.

  “Come here cutie. I could use a big hug from my girl.”

  And I oblige with the tycoon’s demands. This is one of those times where I’m glad I have no say in the matter.

  Because there’s no place in this world that I’d rather be than in his arms.
